The Mowbray Cafe is an inner City ‘pop up’ from The Mowbray in Neepsend.
It is positioned in the historic red brick building in Sellers Wheel and has stacks of character and red brick beauty.
It backs onto the award winning salon - Laundry for Hair - and has a ready made customer base from the salon’s clientele.
We’ve been trialling the Cafe since July 2020 and feel it’s the right time to take things to the next level to recognise its full potential.
It’s a fully equipped 20 seater cafe split over inside and an outside courtyard. It also has a brilliant sash window which is used as a service hatch straight onto Arundel Street.
The interior has been designed by the award winning studio - 93ft and is all about reuse of materials - reclaimed timbers, lighting and marble plus our cafe interior is made up of a set of iconic bus seats clad in a buttery soft vintage leather.
We’re looking to go into partnership with a truly passionate person who is an experienced barista and is looking for the perfect cafe platform to do something great, fulfil ambitions and join a great team along the way!
There is also the opportunity to bring The Mowbray Cafe culture into both of our events venues - The Mowbray, Neepsend and The Chimney House, Kelham Island.
Our coffee is the excellent Dark Woods, we use Our Cow Molly milk and we have incredible daily food from The Mowbray Kitchen.
You must be a hard working, experienced barista who has an absolute focus on quality and brilliant customer service.
You must have a head for the commercial side of the business and be able to report, forecast and be responsible for your own targets.
You must be able to recruit and manage a small team.
You will be responsible for personally running and developing a profitable and appealing cafe and will take care of stock, suppliers and new concepts moving forwards.
You will be all over social media, have an appreciation for photography, detail and styling and be proud to document your daily journey over all channels.
You will be part of a wider team and will report into senior management and work alongside the team to develop new ideas and concepts.
