Events Duty Manager

At Rock & Star, our vision is simple - let us look after you. It's the promise we make to every couple, client and guest who walks through our doors, and as an Event Duty Manager, you'll be the one who keeps it

MAKE THEIR DAY

A couple's first dance.
A sell-out House Event.
A Christmas party that everyone's still talking about in January.

Behind every one of them is someone calmly holding it all together, and we're looking for that person

We own and operate three independent venues in Neepsend and Kelham Island in Sheffield.  Victoria, a restored 1884 chapel, The Mowbray and The Chimney House. We host weddings, private parties, private dining, meetings and our own House Events, with incredible food made in house by our kitchen team and delicious drinks from our bar.

We're growing our Junior Management team and looking for experienced, hands-on Event Duty Managers to lead events across all three venues.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Run the event. You'll take charge from the pre-shift briefing to the final lock-up. You'll brief the floor, kitchen and bar teams on the events timings, numbers, dietaries and pre-orders, then manage the key moments: room turns, food service, speeches, entertainment and the last dance.

Look after our clients. You'll be the main point of contact on the day, so couples and clients deal with one friendly, confident person. You'll also lead venue viewings and handle drop-offs and collections with care.

Lead the team. You'll support and motivate the front-of-house and bar teams, drive great table and bar service, and make sure everyone gets their breaks. When it gets busy, you'll be right there behind the bar with them.

Keep our venues beautiful. You'll make sure every space is clean, styled and event-ready, from fresh flowers and candles to the courtyard and bin store.

Keep everyone safe. You'll hold the keys, open and close the venues, and make sure Health & Safety, fire, food safety and licensing procedures are followed. You'll complete the End of Day report and checklists accurately every shift.

Help us get better. You'll capture photos and videos for our marketing team, share ideas at Junior Management meetings, and deputise for the Events Management team when needed.
